Introducing FLEX-ICE: Thermal Energy Storage Built Into the CDU

The AI boom is running headfirst into a hard physical limit: heat. As rack densities climb,
data centers are burning more power and water than ever just to stay cool, and
the grid is struggling to keep up.

At NETenergy, we've built something different. FLEX-ICE is a composite
phase change material (cPCM) integrated directly into the Coolant Distribution
Unit (CDU). Instead of bolting on a separate thermal energy storage system,
we've put the storage where the heat already is.

That integration unlocks three things at once:

Peak shaving, enhancing cooling load flexibility.

Steady-state cooling that allows for more efficient opperations.

Thermal UPS protection that
keeps critical loads cool through power interruptions.

No product on the market today combines a CDU and thermal energy storage in a
single integrated package.

We're just getting started. Follow along as we bring FLEX-ICE from prototype to
the data center floor.
